This Health Guarantee is provided in good faith and represents HausRuma's voluntary commitment to responsible breeding. It does not replace, limit, or supersede your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation. This Guarantee is void if any of the conditions, exclusions, or requirements herein are not met. HausRuma expressly disclaims all liability beyond the remedies expressly stated in this document.
1. Pre-Sale Health Assurances
All HausRuma puppies are sold having received the following prior to departure:
- A veterinary health examination confirming the puppy is fit for sale at the time of examination
- Age-appropriate vaccinations in accordance with current UK veterinary guidelines
- Microchipping registered to the buyer's details at time of transfer
- Veterinary health certificate and puppy documentation
- Appropriate worming and flea treatment
All breeding dogs used in HausRuma's programme have undergone health testing including hip scoring, elbow scoring, eye testing, and DNA screening as appropriate. Copies of parental health certificates are available upon request.
2. What Is Covered
2a. Congenital & Hereditary Conditions — 24 Months
HausRuma guarantees that each puppy sold is, to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale, free from debilitating hereditary or congenital conditions. This covers conditions that:
- Significantly impair the dog's quality of life
- Are definitively diagnosed by a licensed veterinary specialist
- Are reasonably attributable to a hereditary or congenital cause
- Manifest and are diagnosed within 24 months of the date of purchase
2b. Hip & Elbow Dysplasia
Where both breeding parents have been hip and elbow scored under the BVA scheme, HausRuma provides a limited guarantee against severe hereditary hip or elbow dysplasia, defined as a combined hip score significantly above breed median, or elbow grade 2 or above, that is definitively diagnosed no earlier than 12 months and no later than 24 months from date of purchase.
Diagnosis must be made by a BVA-accredited radiologist or veterinary orthopaedic specialist. General practice X-rays or non-specialist opinions do not qualify for a claim under this guarantee.
3. Available Remedies
Where a valid claim is accepted by HausRuma, the following remedies are available at HausRuma's sole discretion:
- Replacement puppy — a puppy of equivalent quality from a future litter, subject to availability
- Partial refund — a partial refund of the original purchase price (not exceeding the original price paid), less applicable administrative costs
HausRuma shall have no obligation to cover any veterinary treatment costs, ongoing care expenses, consequential losses, emotional distress, or expenses of any kind whatsoever. The remedies above represent the full and complete extent of HausRuma's liability under this Guarantee.
4. Conditions of Validity
This Guarantee is valid only if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- The puppy is registered with a UK veterinary practice and has a post-purchase health check within 72 hours of collection
- All vaccinations, boosters, worming, and routine veterinary care are maintained up to date throughout the guarantee period
- The puppy is fed an appropriate, high-quality diet throughout its development
- Exercise is limited to age-appropriate levels (no more than 5 minutes per month of age, twice daily, until 12 months of age)
- The puppy is kept in a safe, clean, and appropriate domestic environment
- The puppy has not been resold, rehomed, transferred, used for commercial breeding without written consent, or surrendered to a rescue or animal shelter

7. Limitation of Liability
HausRuma makes no representations regarding the show quality, working ability, competitive performance, or temperament of any puppy, unless explicitly stated in writing. Genetics are not an exact science; HausRuma cannot guarantee specific traits, conformation scores, or performance outcomes.
